Maan Joseph Singh

Chef Maan Joseph Singh has always loved the culinary arts, a talent he inherited from his father. Though he studied at the St. Andrew’s College, Mumbai for business, he soon after decided that he would rather pursue his passion. He knew the work would be hard, but his love for cooking kept him going.

He enrolled at the Kohinoor College of Hotel Management and Catering in Mumbai. After graduating, he worked in several restaurants including Fresh Menu and The Good Food Co. in Mumbai for several years before moving to Dubai in 2019.

Chef Maan moved to Dubai as a Chef De Partie for Emaar Hospitality, working in restaurants such as Sella and the Polo Bar; curating menus and catering for corporate and social events such as weddings, birthdays and office functions.

In 2023, Chef Maan moved to New Zealand as a Sous chef for DRM Hospitality. He is currently based in Whitianga, a 2-hour drive from Auckland City, and is a part of a very diverse team looking after local restaurants such as Salt, Whitianga Pub, and the Whanghamata Sports Club.
