Suffice it to say that summer is finally here! Though many of us may be traveling, some of us are sticking around a little while longer. Henceforth, if you’re hoping to get some friends and family members together for a fun little get-together, and are stuck on what to make, then read on for a list of our summer favourites!

  1. AJ’s Potato & Green Bean Salad: Best served at room temperature, a salad this is light, yet filling is a great way to ensure your guests leave feeling satisfied and satiated.
  2. Cannellini Bean Salad, Mozzarella & Tomato Salad, Panzanella Salad and/or yufeed’s Summer Tomato Salad: You can’t go wrong with salads in summer, but always think along the lines of ingredients such as tomatoes, fresh herbs and crunchy greens.
  3. Watermelon & Feta Salad: Quite possibly one of the most satisfying and refreshing salads to have in summer, and not to mention the fact that it is also very hydrating!
  4. Easiest Roast Beef: Super easy to make and can be served at room temperature, making it a good protein option, but also easy enough to consume in the summer heat.
  5. Easy Seafood Bouillabaisse, Fish & Bean Stew and/or Garlic Steamed Clams: Nothing like a pot of your favourite steamed seafoods. A light option that pairs well with crusty bread and a fresh salad.
  6. Mediterranean Baked Fish, Roasted Fish with Lemons and/or Brent’s Sicilian Fish: Because fish is an excellent light protein option, fast and easy to get right and pairs well with light summer sides.
  7. Eleni’s Roast Chicken OR Lemony Chicken Piccata: Another protein option that is also light and very filling, and easy to cook. Just be sure to pair them with cooling sides, such as salads and vegetables tossed with lemon and olive oil.
  8. Easy Seafood Paella: If you’re looking for something a little carb heavy, then this is a great option, and it’s paired with enough seafood to give you a good protein boost. Be sure to drizzle with some lemon juice before serving.
  9. Pasta al Limone OR Pasta a la Vongole: Another carb-heavy option that works great in summer, and both pair well with fresh salads and crusty bread.
  10. French Lentil Ragout OR Lemony Chickpeas & Potatoes: Great options for your vegetarian friends, and both packed full of protein and gut-friendly goodness. Enjoy as is, or with your favourite sides.
