How to Cook Eggs in a Stainless-Steel Pan in 3 Easy Steps

How many of you have spent a small fortune on stainless-steel cookware, only to still make your eggs in a non-stick pan? Because let’s be honest, no one wants to be stuck with scraping and cleaning egg remnants off when they have other things they need to be doing, like school drop off and getting to work on time. Also, God forbid you scratch or ruin your new and expensive pots and pans! All this begs the question, ‘surely, there must be an easier way!’

Believe it or not however, the topic of cooking eggs in a stainless-steel pan is actually a much googled one. Though it is no surprise that most of us will take the easy way out, as a result of the non-stick being faster and easier to clean, many people are now gravitating towards stainless steels as they are healthier and in fact believed to create a more delicious end result.

After having done some research and reading the tips and tricks, we at yufeed tried some of them out ourselves, and found that with a little bit of extra time and effort, cooking eggs in a stainless-steel pan can in fact be stress and mess free!

Please read below for yufeed’s tried and tested 3 step method for cooking eggs in a stainless-steel pan.

How to Cook Eggs in a Stainless-Steel Pan in 3 Easy Steps

  1. First, you need to heat up your pan. Place the pan over medium-high heat until it is hot. The best way to test this to splash some water onto the surface. If it immediately beads and evaporates, then you’re ready to move on to step 2.
  2. Next, create that non-stick surface; pour approximately 1 tbsp of oil into the pan and reduce the heat to medium or low. Start by tilting the pan and swirling the oil around to coat the base. Take off the heat and set aside to cool. Once cooled, pour the excess oil out and lightly dab with a paper towel. At this point, your pan should be super shiny and that non-stick affect will have been created.
  3. Place back over the heat, add a tiny amount of oil and cook your eggs – scrambled, fried, omelette… whatever your preference! Placing a lid whilst the eggs are cooking is also helpful, and it allows the top part to cook without you having to disrupt anything, which is especially useful when making fried eggs!

There you have it! We hope you’ll give this method a try and let us know what you think!
