Avocado Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Cooking Time : 10 – 15 MINUTES


  • Avocado – 1, ripe
  • Lime – 1, juiced
  • Salt – to taste
  • Black Pepper – to taste
  • Butter (unsalted) – enough to spread on the bread slices
  • Sliced Bread – 2, bread of choice
  • Parmesan Cheese – enough to spread over the avocado, shredded (Cheddar will also work)
  • Method

    – In a small bowl, mash the avocado and mix with lime juice. Season with salt and pepper.

    – Heat pan over medium heat. Spread butter on the outside of each slice of bread, then spread avocado on the other side of one slice.

    – Top with cheese and close the sandwich.

    – Place sandwich in the pan, and press down with a spatula so that the bottom gets nice and toasty. Cover with a lid for 3 minutes.

    – Flip and cook other side until cheese is melted and bread is golden brown, approximately 2 minutes more.

    – Cut in half and serve.
