AJ’s Crab Cakes

Need something with a little bite this summer? These easy-to-make Crab Cakes are your best bet! Full of flavour, texture and not to mention, a great source of protein. Drizzle with some lemon juice before eating and enjoy with a side of your favourite tartar sauce.

AJ’s Crab Cakes Square

Serves : 2 – 4
Prep Time : 15 MINUTES
Cooking Time : 5 – 10 MINUTES

Ingredients

  • Fresh Crab Meat – 1 500g Tub
  • Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
  • Mustard – 1 tbsp
  • Worcestershire Sauce – 2 tbsp
  • Egg – 1, beaten
  • Paprika – 1 tsp
  • Ground Nutmeg – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp
  • Black Pepper – 1/2 tsp
  • Fresh Parsley – 1 Cup, chopped
  • Breadcrumbs – 2 Cups
  • Vegetable Oil – enough to shallow fry the crab cakes
  • Lemon – 1, juiced
  • Method

    – Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl until well combined and place in the fridge for an hour.

    – Using your hands, form palm sized patties. Heat the oil in a pan and fry for 3-5 minutes on both sides or until golden brown.

    – Serve with a green salad and tartar sauce.
